Floors, pads and garage coatings
Basement, garage and barn floors, poured and coated
Basement, garage and barn floors installed, repaired and maintained, with full excavation and site work included, plus epoxy coatings for garage floors.
The slab starts below the surface
A floor that lasts is decided before any concrete is poured. Distinctive Stone & Concrete builds basement, garage and barn floors the way it builds everything else: reinforced with solid rebar and a minimum of 4000 PSI concrete, a standard the crew calls old-world practice.
Excavation and site work are part of the job from start to finish. Nobody has to hire a separate crew to dig, grade or clear the space before the pour, and nobody has to coordinate between the person who prepares the ground and the person who finishes it.
That matters on a new pad out behind the house as much as on a garage floor in Central Square or anywhere else around Syracuse. The same crew that opens the ground is the one that finishes the surface.

Install, repair and maintain
Concrete floors get installed new, repaired when they have been worn or damaged, and maintained so they stay serviceable. All three are on the table for basement, garage and barn floors, for homes and for commercial buildings alike.
A power trowel is how a big floor gets its flat, closed surface, and it is the tool in the photo further down this page, working a freshly poured pole-barn slab. Once a floor has cured, a sealer is the usual way to protect the surface, and that work is covered on the concrete sealing page.
Not sure whether a tired floor needs repair or replacement? Call the office on weekdays at (315) 676-0005 and describe it. The estimate is free and done on site.
From worn out to showroom finish
An old garage floor does not have to stay stained and chipped. Distinctive Stone & Concrete can transform a worn-out garage floor into a showroom finish with an epoxy coating, and it is one of the services customers mention by name.
A flake epoxy floor reads as a speckled grey surface, the same finish shown at the top of this page. The garage keeps its slab and gains a surface that looks finished, which is what the showroom line on their website promises.
Distinctive Stone & Concrete has poured concrete across Syracuse and Central New York since 2002. Every slab is rebar-reinforced at a 4000 PSI minimum, and the estimate is free.
Every floor gets the same slab

Garage floors
Rebar-reinforced slabs at a 4000 PSI minimum, or an epoxy coating over a worn one.
Barn floors
Large pours finished with a power trowel for a flat, closed surface.
Commercial floors
The same standard for businesses as for homes, poured by the same crew.

“They did an excellent job applying epoxy to my garage floor. They were on time and efficient. Looks amazing! Installed a beautiful stamped concrete patio, too!”
Brent had a stamped concrete patio installed as well. If yours needs one too, the stamped concrete page shows the patterns. Fresh slabs need patience: the cure and care guide says how long to wait before vehicles, furniture and foot traffic, and the financing page covers paying for it in installments.
